OB O'Brien: Jewish [SNiPPET]

The Red Bull Music Music Academy hosted their “Drum Majors 2013” producer showcase event last month at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn and invited some of hip-hop’s current hitmakers to showcase some of their biggest hits. One of the event’s attendees was Boi-1da who ran through some of his biggest hits including new beats as well as new music. One of the exclusives 1da spun was a preview of October’s Very Own affiliate, TOPSZN leader, and my good buddy from Westdale, OB O’Brien‘s upcoming joint, “Jewish.”

You can listen to the audio of 1da’s entire set from the Red Bull Music Academy’s “Drum Majors 2013″ which also includes three new beats from the Toronto producer HERE

Hours after DJ Khaled releases “No New Friends,” featuring Rick Ross, Drake and Lil Wayne, the Toronto rapper turns around and debuts a song of his own titled, “Girls Love Beyonce.”

Drake rap-sings of his dating troubles and his search for a leading lady “who will help me think of someone besides myself” and “someone I leave the front door with cause we don’t want to hide no more.”

Singer-songwriter, James Fauntleroy, comes inwith the hook from Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.”

If you’ve attended one of Drake’s shows before, his use of “Say My Name” doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The rapper has performed the Destiny’s Child hit during shows.

Drake (featuring Drake) blew up once again when he released his recent Boi-1da-produced “5AM in Toronto” track. Now, he’s treated the song to a video.

In this clip, Drake smokes a blunt and sips something surrounded by his entourage in a nondescript parking lot. Slowly, they follow him into a secret club location somewhere. At 5AM. In Toronto.

Check out “5AM in Toronto” video above.
